Idox hosts company event focused on sustainability
ldox plc (AIM: IDOX), a leading supplier of specialist information management software and solutions to the public and asset-intensive sectors, today hosts its annual employee event, themed as 'Idox: Building a sustainable future', which develops upon the Company's expansive work in relation to ESG.
In a year during which corporate focus has been on the ESG agenda, this event creates an opportunity to set out our strategic plan on how we intend to grow Idox in a responsible and sustainable way. Idox has adopted the recommendations and model of the Financial Stability Board of the Bank for International Settlements' Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). As a naturally low emission business, Idox is committed to improving our environmental performance whilst also enabling our customers to do the same.
The day will feature updates and insights from Idox's leadership team and colleagues across the business, as well as from charity Zero Waste Scotland. In addition, Benedict Heywood, who curated Wild Salmon, the art installation at COP26, will be our keynote speaker.
Held virtually, the event is an opportunity to build connections across the group and allow employees an opportunity to engage with how we build an Idox that is sustainable for our stakeholders, now and in the future. The Company looks forward to sharing more details with our investors in line with the TCFD disclosures in its annual Report to be issued in early February around governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets.
David Meaden, CEO of Idox commented:
"Our annual event is a key date for us to bring together our employees across the globe. With continued concerns over Covid-19, we are pleased to once again host this event virtually, allowing all colleagues to join us for the day."
"This year at Idox, we have worked to expand our sustainability commitments, which included the formation of an ESG steering committee, and this will be a great opportunity to allow our colleagues to get involved in the conversations and to, learn about and contribute to Idox's approach to sustainability."
